About Us

SOL (Society for Organisational Learning) is an international learning community composed of organisations, individuals, and local SOL fractals. SOL was founded in Boston in April 1997 to continue the work of MIT's Center for Organizational Learning (1991-1997).

SoL-UK, a member of this international community, is passionately engaged in developing our understanding of organisations as living systems. Such systems learn consciously and continuously from their experiences, their successes, their failures, their achievements and their errors.

Members of the SoL-UK community are interested in developing and building learning environments rather than teaching ones. We thrive in a "try something - learn something - do something - try something more" cycle and are willing to share our creative and innovative experiences of organsational learning (both positive and negative) to the benefit of all.

SoL-UK provides space within which organisations and individuals may create together that which they cannot create alone.
