We are delighted to announce that on 18th November 2009, 3 members of SOL-UK launched their books at a joint SOL-UK/University of Surrey event that was hosted by University of Surrey

Neuro-linguistic Programming, Paul Tosey & Jane Mathison
Unsecured Ladders, Graham Robinson & John Harris
The Intuitive Mind, Eugene Sadler-Smith

The University of Surrey is a valued, longstanding SME member of SOL-UK and this close association has led to another exciting event at University of Surrey.  Autumn 2009 witnessed the publication of no less than three exciting and innovative new books aimed at managers, coaches and leaders all written by leading researchers and colleagues at the University of Surrey's School of Management’s Centre for Management Learning (CML).Three of the authors are also members of SOL-UK: Dr Paul Tosey and Dr Eugene Sadler Smith are SME members of SOL-UK and Dr Graham Robinson, a Visiting Fellow at University of Surrey, is also a SOL-UK Steward.

This Launch Event was extremely well attended and was introduced by one of the UK’s leading management thinkers and writers Dr. Peter Honey.  The evening gave the authors the opportunity to talk about the importance of their books for leading and managing organizations in challenging times, and gave participants the opportunity to meet the authors and discuss the ideas behind their books.

Details of the books and authors are on the event flyer attached below.

The output of Learning Organisation events and projects often leads to publications. Check out the Triarchy website and the links below:

There is real talent and skill amongst the members of SoL around the world: we all encounter this when we meet together locally or internationally. But it is not always easy to keep track of what individual members do. So SOL-UK would like from time to time to tell our members about publications by SoL members. It’s a great way of knowing more about the learning journey of our members here in the UK, but also from other SoL communities. The global website www.solonline.org has a comprehensive list of SoL publications available to buy online. Follow the link to Publications and Resources for books by US inspirers, Peter Senge, Otto Scharmer and others. But did you know that one of the SOL-UK small business members is an independent publishing house called Triarchy Press? It specialises in books and products about organizations and how the people in them act and learn together. Visit their website for details of their latest books. www.triarchypress.co.uk  If you know of books from other SoL community members from anywhere in the world, we would like to hear about them, so that we can notify you about their published work via these occasional publication bulletins. Please email your suggestions to geoff.marlow@aligned-agility.com in the first instance.
