This was a the fourth in a series of very successful workshops on decision-making. This workshop focused on 'The Role of Language in Decision-Making Processes'.

On 25th April 2007 SOL-UK held an all day workshop on 'Improving the Decision-Making Process in Institutions' at The London School of Economics. There were 2 speakers, Dr Michael Thompson, an anthropologist, who spoke on the theory of plural rationality or cultural theory as a theory of decision-making and drew from 2 of his recent books, and Dr Alan Watkins, a neuroscientist, who spoke about emotions, feelings and decision-making' There was also be an interactive session after lunch when Rollin Rachele introduced juggling as a tool for decision-making.

Annual Dinner at the House of Lords (Attlee Room)

Didier Clement and Roy Woodhead have held 2 study groups on 11th January and 27th February 2007.  Roy led a discussion that explored past approaches to decision making with a view to forming a new theory based around organisational learning and Didier's discussions concentrated on decision making and the role of emotion.

Press, arranged a Public Lecture at The London School of Economics from 6.30 to
8.00pm:  Russ Ackoff in Conversation with Sally Bibb: systems thinking,
