Vision & Purpose

SoL-UK exists to galvanise a community of like minded people - organisational leaders, practitioners, academics and individuals - who share a passion for cultivating sustainable organisations as living systems. We focus on practical, pragmatic action within the context of "real-world" organisations.

As a healthy, sustainable living system, SoL-UK has three primary purposes:

• Developing and sharing insights, approaches and tools for the practical cultivation of organisations as living, learning systems (whether the smallest or the largest and in all fields), while supporting the healthy and sustained development and growth of the SoL-UK and wider SoL communities.
• Assisting organisations and individuals to function effectively as living, learning systems with an awareness of the principles that underlie the sustainability of such systems.
• Increasing public awareness of the advantages and benefits to be derived from acknowledging organisations as living, learning systems.
